Paula Kidwell is a California born knitwear designer currently residing in Denver, CO. Paula achieved a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and spent a semester abroad on scholarship working on industrial Shima knitting machines at the Auckland University of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand. Paula has worked with companies including Goldbug Inc, Icelandic Design, Free People, Joe Fresh, and Kathleen van der Spek.
Paula is an avid athlete and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys rockclimbing, slacklining, hiking, snowboarding, running, cycling, and camping among other adventure-oriented activities. Paula is passionate about traveling and experiencing different cultures.
Paula has a background in acrobatics having been a member of the Junior Olympic National Acrobatics team and winning two National Championships, representing the US with her acrobatic trio at the 2006 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in Coimbra, Portugal. Paula spent a year at the National Circus School in Montreal, Quebec and two years performing with various circus companies in San Francisco, California including Velocity Circus and the Vau de Vire Society.
